We are seeking a full-time Scientist III - Process Development and Characterization Support, employed by Parexel FSP on a long-term assignment onsite at our client location in West Point, PA. Description:

The role involves supporting standard analytical testing of samples from vaccine and large molecule process development/characterization, with potential opportunities in method development and optimization.

Qualifications:

B.S./M.S. in Chemistry, Biology, or related life sciences. Candidates should have:

• For Scientist 3 - B.S. with 3-5 years or M.S. with 1-2 years of relevant experience.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Experience with separations techniques for large molecules.
• Experience analyzing vaccines and large molecules using techniques such as:
• Liquid Chromatography (HPLC / UPLC)
• Other techniques like Protein A Titer, SEC, IEX, AEX, CEX, Reverse Phase, or HIC.
• Use of spectroscopic techniques such as UV280, Raman, FTIR, fluorescence, or light scattering.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Knowledge of process or analytical sciences.
• Ability to follow scientific protocols and procedures.
• Preparation of analytical reagents.
• Good documentation practices and experience with electronic lab notebooks (Signals).
• Familiarity with GxP environments and method validation workflows.
• Proficiency with analytical software like Empower and Chemstation.
• Ability to handle data from multiple platforms.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities:

• Laboratory stewardship, including reagent and instrument maintenance.
• Preparation and analysis of process samples.
• Documentation of results following established protocols.
• Sample management and monitoring of temperature-controlled units.
• Support for method validation and transfer.
• Adherence to laboratory safety and hygiene procedures.
