• Contribute to development of procedures and user guides; edit and provide technical input.
• Follow existing protocols and maintain accurate lab records.
• Collaborate with senior scientists to ensure Design History Files are accurate.

Responsibilities

Job Description

• Supporting the development of new molecular products and technologies.
• Performing reagent and workflow experiments to prove feasibility, develop, optimize, verify and validate, under the general supervision of a senior level scientist.
• Contributing to the development of new procedures and user guides, e.g. Editing and providing technical input.
• Following existing protocols.
• Working with senior level scientist to ensure Design History Files are accurate and complete.
• Working according to product development procedures.
• Contributing to the completion of milestones associated with specific project plans.
• Developing knowledge of BD Biosciences products through training.
• Working under general supervision.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of molecular biology, biochemistry or a related discipline.
• Specific knowledge of NGS instrumentation and data analysis.
• Experienced in NGS library preparation and sequencing.
• Familiarity with general cell culture techniques.
• Familiarity with operation of standard laboratory instruments.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to keep accurate and complete laboratory records and logs.

Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a biological science discipline preferred.
