Job summary

Aptar Pharma in Gibsonia, PA is seeking a Scientist I – Subvisible Particulate to perform sampling, analysis, and reporting under cGMP guidelines. The role supports cross‑functional teams, maintains quality KPIs, and contributes to reliable method development and instrument qualification.

The candidate will analyze samples, author reports, and liaise between sales and customers while upholding strict documentation and safety standards in a fast‑paced laboratory environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a natural science.
  • Experience with light obscuration or microscopy counting preferred.
  • Experience with GDP (Good Documentation Practices) preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, capable of working independently and in a team.
  • Able to balance multiple timelines in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Train and complete required training elements.
  • Prepare and analyze samples per procedures.
  • Evaluate data and author reports independently.
  • Serve as technical liaison between sales and customers.
  • Perform quality‑related instrumentation and ancillary equipment testing.
  • Review and write laboratory procedures.
  • Maintain quality KPIs and on‑time reporting.
  • Order and inventory materials to maintain supplies.
  • Coordinate with instrument vendors for service needs.
  • Lead annual preventative maintenance and qualifications of assigned instrumentation.
  • Troubleshoot instrumentation and assist in bringing new instrumentation and methods online.
  • Assist in audits and communicate with auditors as needed.
  • Comply with cGMP regulations and laboratory safety standards.
  • Execute particulate counting and sizing analysis for drug products.
  • Author test methods, protocols, reports, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure GMP compliance.

What You Will Do
