Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing is seeking a Scientist I - Organic Prep for 1st shift in the United States. This full-time role focuses on organic preparation and routine analyses under GMP/GLP, with strict adherence to lab safety and data integrity.

You will prepare samples, perform standard chemical analyses, weigh and aliquot materials, and report results to the supervisor. The pay range is $20.15–$27/hour, plus comprehensive benefits and a supportive, global team.

Qualifications

  • BS or BA in chemistry or related field; 3 years of lab experience may substitute for degree.
  • Professional working proficiency in English (reading, writing and speaking).
  • Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes the company vision and ensures regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility as appropriate.
  • Performs routine lab tasks: sample preparation, chemical analysis, data calculation, and data reporting.
  • Maintains instruments and records, reports unusual test occurrences to the supervisor.
  • Ensures compliance with EH&S and QA standards; trains on complex instrumentation as needed.

Scientist I -Organic Prep - Environment Testing
  • Full-time
  • Compensation: USD 20.15 - USD 27 - hourly

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
  • Performs routine lab tasks that provide experience and familiarization with methods, practices, and programs. These include:
    • Preparation of samples using standard techniques
    • Performing chemical analysis using standard techniques
    • Calculating data
    • Recording and reporting data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor
    • Performing routine instrument maintenance
  • Responsible for performing job functions in compliance with Eurofins Environment Testing's environmental, health and safety and quality assurance standards
  • Ability to become trained and competent on complex instrumentation including but not limited to gas chromatography, gas chromatography/mass spectrometry, atomic absorption, ICP, and instrument specific data systems.
  • Works under close supervision using routine and standard methods
  • Aliquots and weighs samples
  • Washes glassware
  • Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Role is 1st Shift, M-F 8am-5pm.

Basic Minimum Qualifications
  • BS or BA in chemistry or related field. 3 years of laboratory experience may substitute for degree
  • Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship
Ideal Candidates will have
  • Previous laboratory experience
  • Previous production-oriented work experience
  • Ability to use a calculator/mathematical formulas and concepts
  • Ability to work independently following written or verbal instructions
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to follow and learn appropriate protocols in one or more of the following disciplines:
    • Organic preparation
    • Metals preparation and analysis
    • Gas Chromatography
    • Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry
    • Radio Chemistry
    • Wet Chemistry
    • High Resolution preparation and analysis
    • Low Resolution preparation and analysis

Pay range: $20.15-27/hour
