Job summary

Eurofins Environmental Testing USA is seeking a chemistry-focused technician for the 1st shift (M-F, 8am-5pm). You will prepare samples, perform chemical analyses, and record data, while following GMP/GLP and safety standards to ensure accurate results.

Ideal candidates have a BS/BA in chemistry or related field, or substantial lab experience, and are proficient in English. The role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within a leading environmental testing company.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares samples using standard techniques and performs routine chemical analyses.
  • Calculates data and records/report unusual test occurrences to supervisor.
  • Performs routine instrument maintenance and adheres to GMP/GLP, EH&S and QA standards.
  • Maintains clean work area and proper housekeeping.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
  • Performs routine lab tasks that provide experience and familiarization with methods, practices, and programs. These include:
    • Preparation of samples using standard techniques
    • Performing chemical analysis using standard techniques
    • Calculating data
    • Recording and reporting data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor
    • Performing routine instrument maintenance
  • Responsible for performing job functions in compliance with Eurofins Environment Testing'senvironmental, health and safety and quality assurance standards
  • Responsible for general housekeeping in work area
  • Works under close supervision using routine and standard methods
  • Aliquots and weighs samples
  • Washes glassware
  • Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Role is 1st Shift, M-F 8am-5pm.

Basic Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS or BA in chemistry or related field. 3 years of laboratory experience may substitute for degree
  • Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship
Ideal Candidates will have:
  • Previous laboratory experience
  • Previous production-oriented work experience
  • Ability to use a calculator/mathematical formulas and concepts
  • Ability to work independently following written or verbal instructions
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to follow and learn appropriate protocols in one or more of the following disciplines:
    • Organic preparation
    • Metals preparation and analysis
    • Gas Chromatography
    • Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry
    • Radio Chemistry
    • Wet Chemistry
    • High Resolution preparation and analysis
    • Low Resolution preparation and analysis
Pay range:$20.15-27/hour

Please note - Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.
