Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a wide range of analyses, both routine and non-routine, primarily in molecular biology, cell biology, and virology test areas of Biopharmaceutical Services
  • Conduct day-to-day activities in a laboratory setting under prescribed processes, including protocols, standard operating procedures, and methods
  • Review and evaluate raw data for acceptability, ensuring accuracy and reliability of results
  • Set up and validate new analytical or related processes used by the department
  • Learn and apply molecular biology technology to support ongoing research and development efforts
  • Design and execute experiments to investigate cellular and molecular mechanisms
  • Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks and electronic records of all experimental procedures and results
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data using appropriate statistical methods and software tools
  • Prepare technical reports, summaries, and presentations of research findings
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project goals and timelines
  • Troubleshoot and optimize experimental protocols to improve efficiency and reproducibility
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory guidelines in the laboratory environment
  • Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices
  • Participate in regular team meetings and scientific discussions to share knowledge and stay updated on project progress

Qualifications:
Qualifications

The ideal candidate would possess:

  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
  • PCR technique exposure/experience

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1-2 Full years of applied industry experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, molecular or cell biology, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information

Position is full-time, working 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Monday-Friday. Candidates currently **living within commutable distance to Lancaster, PA **are encouraged to apply.
