Medical Devices Company in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking an entry-level Scientist I for a 12-month contract role. 40 hours/week with first shift; pay rate $20-30/hr on W2. Responsibilities include analytical testing and materials analysis to support product development, quality, and cost improvements.

The role emphasizes lab-based thermomechanical testing, protocol development, and strong written/verbal communication. Bachelors in a STEM field and lab experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM major (Chemistry, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, materials science).
• Lab work experience is a strong plus.
• Ability to write detailed technical protocols and reports.
• Strong communication skills are required.
• Strong ability to learn and adapt to new techniques.
• Preference for candidates with hands-on chemistry, synthesis, or analysis experience.

Support current products in roles of quality, research & development, pilot-scale manufacturing, supply continuity, and cost improvement.

Must Haves

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM major (Examples: Chemistry, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, materials science).
• Experience / understanding of working in a lab. Lab work experience a strong plus.
• Ability to write detailed technical protocols and reports.
• Strong communication skills
