Job summary

MillenniumSoft Inc in Vernon Hills, IL is seeking a Scientist 1, Microbiology Development for a 12‑month contract. The role is 40 hours/week on the 1st shift, with pay rates of $20–$30 per hour.

You will perform routine lab maintenance, propagate bacterial cultures, prepare media and reagents, label plates and tubes, and support calibration and GDP‑compliant documentation. A BS in Microbiology/Biological Sciences/Chemistry and 1–2 years of lab experience are required.

• 1-2 years of laboratory experience

Responsibilities

• Routine laboratory maintenance, propagating bacterial cultures, preparation of media and reagents, labeling plates and tubes, and restocking supplies.
• Works within established SOPs and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines.
• Maintains adequate inventory control of media and reagents as required for laboratory operations.
• Assists in the qualification and validation of equipment and lab instruments including calibration.
• Responsible for maintaining laboratory notebooks and ensuring all documentation is performed under GDP guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

• Assists in the qualification and validation of equipment and lab instruments including calibration.
• Responsible for maintaining laboratory notebooks and ensuring all documentation is performed under GDP guidelines.
