Job summary

Pace is seeking a Scientist to perform hands-on microbiology analyses in our environmental testing lab in Pittsburgh, PA. The role focuses on analyzing water and bacterial samples, documenting results, and maintaining instruments and records to support safe, accurate environmental data.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in a science field, has lab experience with bacterial cultures, can work in PPE, and is motivated to contribute to safer health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related sciences.
• On-the-job training for setup/analysis of bacterial cultures.
• Ability to work in a laboratory environment with PPE.
• Experience in basic bacterial culture analysis in environmental or clinical labs.
• Knowledge of Legionella or fungal analysis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate instruments such as MALDI-ToF.
