Job summary

Kelly Services is seeking a Scientist I (Microbiology) for our Fort Washington, PA location. The 6‑month assignment offers 40 hours per week, with occasional longer days and some weekend coverage.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related science and at least 1 year of GMP/GLP experience in a quality control lab, along with familiarity with LIMS, SAP/ERP, and MS Office. On-site duties include supporting QA activities and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, Natural Science, Medical Technology or related science preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of GMP/GLP quality control lab experience in a pharmaceutical/regulated environment.
• Basic LIMS knowledge or exposure preferred.
• Familiarity with SAP/ERP systems and MS Office tools.
• Capable of performing routine laboratory activities (light to moderate lifting).

Responsibilities

• Provide testing and technical support in micro and analytical laboratories.
• Collect, process, and test chemical components, bulk products, raw materials, packaging components, finished products, and in-process materials.
• Participate in cleaning validations and ensure compliance with SOPs and cGMP standards.
• Support review and writing of technical documents (SOPs, investigations, protocols).
• Maintain inventory, environmental monitoring, and assist supervisor with additional duties.
• Champion employee involvement and commitment to quality.
• Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Hours: 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM. May need to come in early or stay late occasionally; 2-3 weekends a quarter.

Pay: is $31.00-32.56
