Job summary

Pace® Labs in Westborough, MA is seeking a chemist to join our environmental analysis team. You’ll perform, support, and oversee the analysis of environmental samples using GC-MS and GC-FID/PID, and help maintain instruments.

Bachelor’s in Chemistry or Biochemistry required; chemistry credit hours with labs; training provided. The role includes rigorous lab work, documentation, PPE provided, and comprehensive benefits.

• Must have chemistry credit hours with labs from college or university.
• Preferred experience or knowledge of GC-MS and GC-FID/PID.

Compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s geographic location, relevant experience, education, skills, and alignment with internal equity. What You’ll Do

• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Accurately document procedures, observations, and results to maintain high-quality, organized laboratory records.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other STEM related degrees — or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. We are happy to provide training!
• Must have chemistry credit hours with labs from a college or university.
• Preferred experience or knowledge of working with GC-MS and/or GC-FID/PID.
• Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment, including standing for extended periods, working around strong odors, and wearing required PPE (lab coat, safety glasses, gloves—all provided by Pace®).
