Job summary

Pace is seeking a Scientist to join our environmental testing laboratory, based in Bakersfield, CA. You will perform hands-on analysis of air, water, and soil samples using established methods to ensure accurate environmental data for communities and ecosystems.

You will document procedures and results meticulously, operate and calibrate instruments, and maintain a safe laboratory environment. A Bachelor's in a STEM field is required, with training provided as needed, and full-time benefits

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other STEM related degrees.
• We are happy to provide training.
• Ability to work in a laboratory environment, including standing for extended periods, working around strong odors, and wearing PPE.

Responsibilities

• Analyze air, water, and soil samples using established methods.
• Review and interpret the results from the sample analysis.
• Document procedures, observations, and results to maintain high-quality records.
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
