Overview

ECS is seeking a Scientific Product Advisor to work remotely. ECS seeks a qualified Scientific Product Advisor to work remotely supporting the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) large-scale project. ECS seeks an experienced Scientific Product Advisor to provide QA Analyst to ensure quality across the full lifecycle of our scientific products and solutions. In this role, you will partner closely with scientists and technical teams to validate requirements, review documentation, and ensure compliance with quality standards. You will help translate scientific needs into testable requirements, manage verification and validation activities, and support audits and continuous improvement. Ideal candidates bring both QA expertise, a strong science background and the ability to communicate effectively with scientific end-users.Supervisory Responsibilities

Salary and Requirements

Salary Range: $70,000 – $85,000

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology)
  • 4+ years of experience in quality assurance, scientific analysis, scientific lifecycle management or related lifecycle management role.
  • 2+ years of experience developing or integrating software for scientific applications (preferably Fortran/C/C++ in a Linux environment) to assess algorithm complexity and required effort.
  • Demonstrated experience with quality management systems, risk assessments, and lifecycle documentation.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and scientific software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex scientific findings into clear recommendations.
  • Strong attention to detail, planning, and organizational skills.
