Job summary

Kelly is seeking an Analyst - Scientific I for a 3-month contract in Ashland, VA. The role involves preparing and analyzing environmental samples using standard analytical techniques per SOPs and QA programs. The candidate should have lab experience and ICP/metals prep familiarity.

830–1700 hours, M-F, with no overtime, and a $15/hour pay rate. Ideal candidates have chemistry experience or related lab work; strong organization, time management, and ability to work with urgency are valued.

Qualifications

• Willingness to train and become competent on complex instrumentation is desired.
• Chemistry degree or lab experience is preferred over formal degree.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine lab tasks to gain familiarity with methods and programs.
• Conducts chemical analysis using standard techniques.
• Records and reports data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor.
• Performs routine instrument maintenance.
