Medical Director / Associate Medical Director / Scientific Director, CME

I'm working with a growing medical education organization looking to add a scientifically strong individual to their team. You may already be working at Medical Director level, but we are also interested in speaking with individuals currently working with less senior individuals who have developed strong experience in needs assessments, grant proposals and educational strategy and are ready for increased ownership and responsibility. We are looking for someone who is still hands-on, enjoys developing scientific and educational content and wants the opportunity to grow into a broader strategic leadership role.

The Opportunity

You will play an important role in the development of accredited and non-accredited educational programs for healthcare professionals and patients. You will get to work across the educational lifecycle, helping to identify unmet educational needs, shape program concepts, support grant opportunities and oversee the scientific development of educational content.

This is an opportunity for someone who wants to move beyond purely content-focused responsibilities and have greater involvement in educational strategy, program development and grant-supported initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting and developing needs assessments and gap analyses to identify meaningful educational opportunities.
• Translating identified educational needs into program concepts, learning objectives and evidence-based educational initiatives.
• Supporting the development of grant proposals and grant-supported educational programs.
• Working with Business Development and internal stakeholders to develop the scientific rationale and educational strategy behind new opportunities.
• Developing, reviewing and editing scientific and educational content, including slide decks, educational materials and other program assets.
• Working with faculty members, Key Opinion Leaders and subject matter experts throughout the development of educational programs.
• Providing scientific guidance and ensuring content is accurate, balanced and aligned with the latest available evidence.
• Supporting the development of learning objectives, assessment questions and educational evaluation tools.
• Collaborating with internal teams to review educational outcomes and identify opportunities for future programs.
• Contributing to abstracts, posters or publications where appropriate.
• Ensuring programs meet relevant accreditation, compliance and quality standards.

What We're Looking For

The most important thing is that you have a strong foundation in medical education and CME/CE and are ready to build on that experience in a role with greater scientific and strategic ownership.

• Experience working within CME, CE, accredited medical education or medical communications.
• Hands-on experience developing or contributing to needs assessments and gap analyses.
• Experience supporting or contributing to grant proposals, grant applications or grant-funded educational initiatives.
• Strong scientific writing and content development skills.
• Experience reviewing and interpreting scientific literature and clinical data.
• Experience developing educational content for healthcare professionals.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• A willingness to take ownership, contribute ideas and grow into a broader scientific leadership role.
