The Global Discovery Chemistry is seeking a contractual Scientific Associate to help drive innovation in targeted siRNA delivery. The candidate will be working closely with a team of experts to advance our therapeutics and to drive our understanding of selective delivery of siRNA.

Key Responsibilities

Synthesis of oligonucleotides, purification characterization by using appropriate analytical techniques.
Synthesis of oligonucleotides conjugates.
Phosphoramidite and other reagent inventory management
Apply automation or collaborate with an automation expert to improve efficiency

Qualifications

BS/MS in Chemistry/ Biochemistry with prior oligonucleotides synthesis experience.
Broad experience in analytical techniques for oligonucleotides (ASOs and siRNAs), various oligonucleotides conjugates, including, but not limited to, HPLC-UV/Fluorescence/MS.
Skilled with different analytical techniques, HPLC, LC-MS etc.
Experience with automated liquid handling/assay automation desirable
Excellent written and oral communication skills required.

Location: Onsite role San Diego, CA

Pay Rate: $45 - $50/hour based on experience and qualifications (W2 Only)

Contract: 6-month
