The role supports oral solid formulation studies, conducts lab and pilot plant work, designs formulation studies, and performs material characterization and testing.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in science or engineering (advanced degree preferred).
• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Experience in oral formulation development and processing.
• Knowledge of formulation development and oral product processing (blending, tableting, encapsulation).
• Experience with data trending and statistical analysis software a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, technical aptitude, and communication skills.
• Ability to communicate honestly and effectively with peers and management.

Position Overview

• The Associate Scientist/Engineer is responsible for supporting studies to establish oral solid formulations.
• This includes execution of laboratory and pilot plant work, design experimental formulation studies, and conduct material characterization and formulation testing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct development activities related to developing oral formulations
• Conduct oral product batch processing, material characterization and formulation testing.
• Design and optimize formulation using design of experience approach.

Required Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in science or engineering or related engineering discipline (advanced degree preferred).
• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
• Previous experience working in oral formulation development and processing required.Experience in oral formulation preparation and testing techniques preferred.
• Knowledge of formulation development.
• Knowledge of oral product processing - blending, tableting, encapsulation etc.
• Knowledge of data trending and tracking, including use of statistical analysis software a plus.
• Demonstrate advanced problem-solving ability / mentality, technical adeptness and logical thinking.
• Ability to communicate honestly, transparently, and effectively with peers, department management and cross functional peers.

Pay Rate: $36.32-$38.53/Hour
