Job description

We are currently looking for a Scientific Affairs & Support Manager to support our Sales team and sale of Retail and OEM products to the clinical diagnostic market. The Scientific Affairs & Support Manager is for the US Sales team in the Reagent Partnership Division.

The Position:
The Scientific Affairs & Support Manager will be located in the US and report to the Director of Scientific Affairs & Support. The Reagent Partnership Division endeavors to develop, manufacture, and sell clinical diagnostic products directly to our customers as well as OEM (B2B) sales to many of the world’s largest IVD companies. Our products are ASR or IVD-approved clinical diagnostic products that serve the Clinical Immunochemistry (specific proteins) and general antibody market spaces (e.g. flow cytometry, ELISA, etc.).

Responsibilities:
As a team member of the US Sales Team, your primary responsibilities will be:

  1. Responsible for the scientific management of all retail and OEM products within the Americas region.
  2. Support sales staff by providing technical information to retail and OEM customers.
  3. Support sales staff with ongoing technical training.
  4. Partial responsibility and accountability for sales targets within clinical accounts, corporate accounts, and research accounts.
  5. Coordinating activities within Reagent Partnerships as they pertain to the US retail products business.
  6. Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of the retail products market and OEM products, and the value proposition associated with key products.

Travel:
Majority of travel will be within the US in association with sales staff, with the expectation of at least 60-70 days of travel per year.

Qualifications:
Required skill sets:

  1. Documented experience in clinical flow cytometry diagnostics either commercial or clinical service (min 3-5 years).
  2. Bachelor's Degree related to biological science; M.Sc. or Ph.D. preferred.
  3. Experience with clinical chemistry, antibody use/production, or other scientific/technical background will be beneficial.
  4. Excellent in both spoken and written English; other languages are a plus.
  5. Proficient with using IT systems (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, SalesForce.com, etc.).
