Job summary

Perkins&Will in Seattle is seeking a Project Architect for Science & Technology to lead lab planning, MEP coordination, and regulatory submissions while maintaining design intent and firm standards.

You will translate complex lab requirements into actionable design decisions, mentor staff, and contribute to pursuits and interviews as needed. The role is on-site in Seattle with deep involvement in life sciences projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture or related field.
• 8-10+ years of Lab Planning experience is a plus.
• LEED GA certification within 6 months of hire.
• One Living Design accreditation (e.g., LEED AP, WELL AP, SITES AP, etc.).
• Strong design and coordination skills for science/tech labs.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery across all phases for state-of-the-art Science & Tech projects.
• Coordinate with MEP and other consultants for lab spaces and containment systems.
• Direct project documentation, QC reviews, and adherence to Perkins&Will standards.
• Serve as technical voice to client and manage regulatory submissions.
• Mentor staff and lead design reviews to drive decisive outcomes.
