Qualifications:

  • Valid South Carolina teacher’s certificate in Secondary Science.
  • Alternatives acceptable as deemed appropriate by the Board.
  • Individuals with a PACE/Teachers of Tomorrow Statement of Eligibility are encouraged to apply.
Performance Responsibilities
  • Meet and instruct assigned classes at designated locations and times.
  • Plan a program of study that meets students' needs, interests, abilities, and state standards.
  • Establish and communicate clear objectives for all classroom activities.
  • Employ various instructional techniques and media suitable for the physical setting and student needs.
  • Create a conducive learning environment through effective classroom management strategies.
  • Implement the District’s educational philosophy and instructional goals.
  • Take necessary precautions to ensure safety of students, equipment, and facilities.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records as required by law and district policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Terms

190 days. Salary and work year to be determined by the Board.

Evaluation

Performance will be evaluated according to the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
