Position: Science Teacher
Location: Roosevelt Middle School
Starting Date: August 15, 2025
Salary/Benefits: BA, Step 1, $50,009 to MA+60, Step 25, $118,928. (Additional compensation may be available for stipend opportunities.) TRS Pension and sick leave. Qualifications: a) Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Middle School General Science Endorsement.
b) Successful teaching experience at the middle school level is preferred.
c) A Master’s Degree is preferred.

Job Duties: This teacher will implement the Science Program as described in the curriculum guide for students in grade 7. He/She will guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals, and establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and communicate these objectives to the students. The teacher will also strive to implement the District’s philosophy of education, instructional goals and other objectives through instruction and action.
