Science Teacher for Upper School (Grades 9-12)

Mile High Academy (MHA) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Upper School Science Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will be a spiritual leader on campus, capable of engaging students with diverse learning styles while fostering a love of learning and academic excellence through positive interactions. This position involves teaching a range of science courses, including Biology, Chemistry, Anatomy & Physiology, Physics, and Robotics, all of which include lab components. The candidate should be skilled at integrating technology and innovative, hands-on learning experiences into the curriculum. Sponsoring and supervising responsibilities related to school programs, trips, and activities will be shared with other teachers and staff members.

MHA provides a Christ-centered learning environment, helping families experience excellence in Seventh-day Adventist education. Located in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, a suburb of Denver, MHA serves students from Preschool through 12th grade. The school is supported by local constituent churches and an Adventist hospital system and is fully accredited by the Middle States Association Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools.

Required Experience
  1. A BS or BA degree in science or a related field is required (Master's degree is a bonus).
  2. Prior teaching experience (3+ years preferred).
  3. Current NAD Certification with a subject endorsement.
  4. Proven ability to create a positive and engaging classroom environment that fosters both academic and spiritual growth.

Salary and Benefits:
Compensation is based on the denominational wage scale policy. Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the United States and provide evidence of that right if employed.
