Job Goal: To facilitate student comprehension and application of concepts, skills and behaviors that contribute to the development of mature, able and responsible members of society. To ensure continuous improvement in state and national performance levels to prepare students for college and careers in a global society, and at every level, performance is on‑track and on‑time for success.
Maintain communication with school personnel, parents, and guardians to enhance cooperative action and meet educational needs of students. Utilize existing technology effectively in the performance of duties.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables where only limited standardization exists, and to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagrammatic, or scheduled form.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, curriculum and learning theory documents, correspondence, and protocols, and to present information and respond to questions from various audiences.
Requires regular sitting, walking, standing, talking, and hearing. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, and depth perception. Reasonable accommodations may be made for people with disabilities.
The work environment is typically loud, a standard acceptable level for the setting, and directly responsible for students’ safety, work output, and well‑being.
Apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional programs; plan and implement lessons based on division and school objectives and the needs and abilities of students; establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, peers, parents, and community; speak clearly and concisely in written or oral communication.
