Purpose

Provides science education to students in classroom and laboratory settings, instructs students, maintains discipline, and is responsible for student academic achievement.

Essential Job Functions

1. Attend work reliably and punctually.
2. Telework when requested by the District.
3. Develop and maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
4. Create lesson plans tailored to students' needs, interests, and abilities.
5. Prepare and administer tests and labs to support student learning.
6. Assess students’ work and maintain accurate attendance and grade records.
7. Represent the school and district professionally in interactions with parents, community, staff, and students; facilitate meetings as needed.
8. Collaborate with colleagues to meet course and school-wide performance goals.
9. Assist in selecting instructional materials and resources.
10. Perform other assigned duties.
