Huntley Community School District 158 is seeking a qualified Science Teacher for 8th grade at Marlowe Middle School. The position is 10 months, full-time, with a starting date in September 2026, and follows the HEA salary schedule based on education and experience.

Qualifications

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaches students scientific academic skills following guidelines set by State of Illinois law and board policy. Responsible for delivering high-quality instruction that fosters scientific inquiry and critical thinking skills. Collaborate with various staff members to ensure student needs are being met. Effectively communicate with staff, administration, and parents. Create and contribute to a positive learning environment.

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree; one to two years related experience and/or training preferred. Valid Illinois Professional Educators License with Middle School Science Endorsement required.
