LOCATION: Gunston MS

POSITION TITLE: Science Teacher (6th Grade)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position is a 1.0 FTE located at Gunston Middle School.

Note: All Teachers hired after January 15th are considered termed employees. This position is a termed position effective for FY24 through June 18, 2025 only. You would need to re-apply for a position for FY26.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Flexible, dependable and highly organized.
  • Understanding of the middle school child.
  • Must be team oriented and able to work cohesively with others.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience teaching middle school students.
  • Successful teaching experience and curricular knowledge.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
  • Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.
