Mercy High School is seeking a full-time Science Teacher for the 2025-2026 academic year. The ideal candidate will teach various science courses and contribute to a community that values academic excellence and personal development. Responsibilities include curriculum planning, student advising, and maintaining positive relationships within the school community.

Science Teacher – 2025-2026
Mercy High School is seeking a full-time science teacher to begin August 2025. The ideal candidate can teach a variety of science courses and content. Candidates should be academically strong and dedicated to teaching a diverse group of girls in a community that values intellectual pursuits, strong relationships, and spiritual development. The successful candidate will be cognizant of the special role a teacher has in the spiritual and religious development of youth, model critical inquiry and lifelong learning, and demonstrate integrity and fairness in all aspects of community life.
As a school authorized by the International Baccalaureate to offer the Middle Years Programme, Mercy’s curriculum in grades 9 and 10 features concept-based instruction and structured inquiry as a pedagogical tool. Courses in the upper levels are challenging and engaging. Mercy is authorized to offer the IB Diploma Programme in grades 11 and 12. While previous experience with these programs is preferred, it is not a requirement.

Work Environment:
Annual salary is $45,000 to $65,000 based upon degrees and experience. Candidates with additional experience, qualifications, or ability to take on additional duties may be offered asalaryoutside of the range shown. A comprehensive benefits package includes tuition remission at Mercy High School for dependent daughters and at Loyola University Maryland for employees and their dependents, all contingent upon years of full-time service.

Employment Category: Full-time Faculty Duration: 10-month contract annually renewable
