Job summary

The Spire School in Stamford, CT is seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to inspire curiosity in students in grades 6–12 within a smaller, therapeutic learning environment.

You will design hands-on, inquiry-based lessons aligned to state and national standards, foster a safe, engaging classroom, and collaborate with counselors, learning specialists, and wellness staff to support each student’s academic and emotional growth.

Qualifications

• Valid or eligible CT certification in Biology (030), Chemistry (031), Physics (032) or Special Education 7–12 (dual certification preferred).
• 1–3 years of teaching experience with middle or high school students.
• Experience supporting learners with emotional or learning challenges.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with students, families, and colleagues.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom community.

As a Science Teacher at The Spire School, you’ll inspire curiosity and confidence in students who are bright, capable, and benefit from a smaller, therapeutic learning environment. What You’ll Need
