Job summary

Fusion Academy, a fully accredited 1-to-1 private school for grades 5–12 in Reston, seeks a Science Teacher who designs creative lessons and mentors students.

This part-time role (8:30 am–3:30 pm) offers growth into a full-time position and requires a Bachelor’s degree; willingness to teach Earth, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and other sciences.

You’ll work with diverse learners, collaborate with colleagues, and build strong relationships with families while using technology and innovative tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees or a teaching credential is a plus.
• Ability and willingness to teach a wide range of science courses (Earth, Physical, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Astronomy, Earth Space, Anatomy & Physiology, Marine Biology, Zoology).
• Experience working with students, including those with learning differences, neurodiversity, accelerated learning needs, and/or mental health challenges.
• Mentoring experience and a passion for social-emotional learning.
• Outgoing, adaptable, and eager to thrive in a dynamic, student-centered environment.
• Skilled with technology, curious about innovation, and open to learning new tools.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• A growth mindset with the flexibility to pivot and problem-solve as needed.

This position requires 8:30 am - 3:30 pm availability. It will be part time to start, with plans of growing into full time.

Pay Range
