Job summary

Fusion Academy, a fully accredited 1-to-1 private school for grades 5–12, seeks a Math and Science Teacher in Raleigh. You’ll design creative lessons, shape flexible schedules, and collaborate with passionate colleagues to personalize education—academically, socially, and emotionally.

Not all campuses serve grades 4 and 5; specifics shared during interview. You’ll teach a broad range of science and math courses with curriculum and resources provided, mentor students, and engage with parents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees or a teaching credential are a plus.
• Ability and willingness to teach a wide range of science and math courses with curriculum provided.
• Experience with students including those with learning differences or mental health challenges.

Responsibilities

As a Math and Science Teacher, you’ll have the flexibility to shape your schedule, design creative lessons, and collaborate with passionate colleagues. What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees or a teaching credential is a plus.
• Ability and willingness to teach a wide range of science and math courses (Earth, Physical, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Astronomy, Earth Space, Anatomy & Physiology, Marine Biology, Zoology, Integrated, Basic Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry, Statistics, Business & Consumer Math, and Calculus), following content standards — curriculum and resources provided.
• Experience working with students, including those with learning differences, neurodiversity, accelerated learning needs, and/or mental health challenges.
• Mentoring experience and a passion for social-emotional learning.
• Outgoing, adaptable, and eager to thrive in a dynamic, student-centered environment.
• Skilled with technology, curious about innovation, and open to learning new tools.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• A growth mindset with the flexibility to pivot and problem-solve as needed.
