Role Description

The Science Teacher is a full-time, on-site position located in Pittsburgh, PA. This role involves planning and delivering engaging science lessons aligned with NGSS using a hands‑on approach.

The teacher will assess student progress through a variety of means and provide feedforward to support academic growth.

Daily responsibilities include classroom management, lesson preparation, collaboration with colleagues and school leadership, communication with families as needed, and participation in professional development and school‑wide events.

The Science Teacher is expected to create a respectful, inclusive classroom environment that reflects the school’s values while fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning in science.

Qualifications

• MUST be in the PITTSBURGH AREA.
• REQUIRES the use of stairs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Science or a related field; teacher certification is preferred.

• The ability to create a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment.
