Job description

Charles M. Sumner Learning Campus is located in beautiful Sullivan, Maine. Our amazing campus is located approximately 15 minutes east of Ellsworth, the county seat of Hancock County, and 40 miles east from Bangor. In addition, we are just a short drive to Bar Harbor and the beautiful Acadia National Park. Charles M. Sumner Learning Campus is home to both Sumner Middle School and Sumner Memorial High School. Our total student population is approximately 400 students in grades 6 through 12. This specific position is for Sumner Memorial High School.
We are seeking a high school Science teacher who is a collaborative and team-oriented professional. Candidates should have a solid understanding of instruction and best practices to enhance science learning. The successful candidate will hold or be able to hold a Maine Department of Education Teacher Certification: 350 (Physical Science); and/or 395 (Life Science). In addition, they must hold a current MDOE Criminal History Records Check.
