High School Science Teacher

Position Overview

We are seeking a full time Earth Science or Biology science teacher to join our dedicated staff beginning at the start of the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching high school level science and be familiar with the updated regents curriculum and required labs. Select senior electives may also be available for the right candidate.

Teachers will also be expected to serve as a homeroom mentor to a small group of students, and participate in monthly department meetings and school wide events.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required, masters preferred
• Prior teaching experience, high school level science preferred
• Must be able to utilize educational technology (Chromebooks, Google Classroom etc.) and incorporate these technologies into their classroom delivery and assignments
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
• Ability to receive and implement feedback
• Skilled at communicating and working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and with diverse perspectives
