Job summary

Harvard Medical School in Boston is seeking a Program Manager to provide planning, implementation, and decision‑making support for the New England Science Symposium (NESS) and Community Engagement efforts. Based in the Office for Culture and Community Engagement, this role helps engage students, faculty and staff across Harvard.

You will coordinate committees, manage recruitment strategies, draft reports, handle logistics, review abstracts, and supervise student workers to ensure effective

• 5+ years of experience in program management.
• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; scientific knowledge a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and close attention to detail in planning and program implementation.
• Commitment to the STEM field and the OCCE mission.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement symposium curriculum, agenda, and speakers in collaboration with senior management and Harvard departments.
• Manage and document planning committee meetings and communications.
• Coordinate recruitment strategies to engage faculty, scientists, trainees, students, and staff in program involvement.
• Plan logistics, vendor contracts, travel, and event materials for events like NESS and related activities.
• Review abstracts, ensure accuracy, and facilitate committee review processes.
