Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and a valid Texas teaching certificate.
• Endorsements or training for the assigned subject and grade level.
• One-year student teaching or approved internship preferred.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum and show written planning evidence.
• Plan and use instructional strategies and materials for diverse learning styles.
• Assess student learning and use results to adjust instruction.
• Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Coordinate with staff to set instructional goals and methods.
• Supervise instructional aides and volunteers and ensure completion of tasks.
• Maintain professional relationships with parents, students, colleagues, and community.
