Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
• 1 year of teaching experience with youth who may have emotional, behavioral, psychological, developmental or social challenges.
• First Aid, CPR and CPI certification.
• Teaching license by Ohio Department of Education and/or Special Education Certification preferred.
• K-12 Mild/Moderate Special Education/Intervention Specialist License preferred.
• Certifications for teaching subjects' grades, as specified.

Responsibilities

• Teach math and science to junior high and high school students.
• Follow the academy curriculum with smaller classroom sizes.
• Coordinate with aides to support behavior management and de-escalation.
