Job summary

A staffing agency is seeking a laboratory assistant in Mount Vernon. This role involves setting up chemicals and materials for practical sessions, ensuring lab safety, and managing inventory. Responsibilities

• Set up and distribute chemicals and materials for lab sessions.
• Clear up after lab sessions ensuring proper disposal of materials.

• Maintain lab safety and assist teachers with incidents.
• Check inventory stocks.
• Perform any ad-hoc duties assigned.

Job description

Job Description:

• To set-up and distribute chemicals, materials and apparatuses for science daily practical sessions, internal exams, GCE ‘O’ Level Exams and other science activities.
• To clear up after every lab session by ensuring proper disposal of chemicals / materials. Wipe and clean the tables and ensure that the floor is clean.
• To check that all apparatuses are in good working condition and carry out minor repairs of apparatus and equipment when necessary.
• To maintain lab safety and provide assistance to teachers handling accidents.
• To take part in the checking of inventory stocks.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as arranged and assigned by the school.

Contract Period: 3 January 2026 to 31 December 2026

Working Arrangement:

• Mondays to Thursdays: 7:00am to 4:15pm
• Fridays: 7:00am to 3:45pm
• Location: Mount Vernon
