Starting wage is $17.94 per hour, $18.69 per hour with MO teacher certification. Preference given to science teaching certificates; transfer opportunities exist for current support staff.

Qualifications

• Science teaching certificate preferred; substitute certification required.
• Minimum of sixty (60) semester hours from an accredited college/university or Missouri substitute certificate
• Friendly, helpful attitude in working with students and staff
• Positive, caring manner with children

Responsibilities

• Prepare labs for high school chemistry classrooms
• Accept direction from classroom teacher
• Assist with additional responsibilities and assignments as needed by the teacher or principal
• Assist in the development of learning packets and instructional aids
• Assist teacher with demonstrations, copying materials and checking progress in class
• Assist with field trips and supervision during lunch/recess
