Grand Canyon University is seeking a part-time Instructional Assistant on the Main Campus in Phoenix to support learning in the College of Natural Sciences. You will mentor students, tutor, and assist faculty in delivering engaging instruction.

This role offers hands-on classroom facilitation, weekly office hours, and a collaborative environment where you help shape student success while balancing a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Completed Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required
• Must reside in Arizona and be available to work in person on GCU's Main Campus
• Successfully completed coursework in Life Science or Physical Science with a grade of B or higher
• Strong communication and classroom support skills
• Previous tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or instructional support experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Partner with faculty to support classroom instruction and student engagement
• Assist with lesson preparation, grading, and classroom facilitation
• Hold weekly office hours to provide tutoring and academic support
• Reinforce course concepts through one-on-one and group assistance
• Observe and report student progress to faculty
• Facilitate review sessions and supplemental instruction opportunities
• Help create a collaborative and encouraging learning environment
