As an Instructional Assistant, you will mentor students, collaborate with faculty, and gain valuable instructional experience through hands-on assistance, tutoring, classroom facilitation, and academic support.

Qualifications

• Must have completed coursework in Biological Sciences - Anatomy and Physiology, Biochemistry, Physiology, or Cellular Function with a grade of B or higher.
• Strong communication and classroom support skills.
• Previous tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or instructional support experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with faculty to support classroom instruction and student engagement.
• Assist with lesson preparation, grading, and classroom facilitation.
• Hold weekly office hours to provide tutoring and academic support.
• Reinforce course concepts through one-on-one and group assistance.
• Support classroom management and proctor examinations.
• Observe and report student progress to faculty.
• Facilitate review sessions and supplemental instruction opportunities.
• Help create a collaborative and encouraging learning environment.
• Uphold and support the mission and values of Grand Canyon University.
