Job summary

Lakeview School District is seeking a Science in the Park Event Paraeducator to help plan and run engaging, hands-on science experiences for elementary students and families at Minges Brook Elementary on July 15.

Responsibilities include preparing materials, facilitating activities, and overseeing safety and logistics. Approximately 10–20 hours total with pre-event preparation.

Qualifications

• Current Lakeview School District Paraeducator with an interest or experience in science instruction or STEM programming preferred.
• Strong organizational and facilitation skills.
• Experience with elementary age children preferred.
• Effective summative rating on most recent evaluation preferred.

Position Summary:

The Science in the Park Event Paraeducator supports the planning and facilitation of the Lakeview School District’s “Science in the Park” event on July 15 at Minges Brook Elementary. This role focuses on creating and leading engaging, hands‑on science experiences that spark curiosity, promote inquiry, and provide fun learning opportunities for elementary students and families.

Funding Source

This position is funded under Section 31a At‑Risk, therefore all job responsibilities and duties are aligned with the Section 31 At‑Risk Program’s Intent and Purposes, specifically to provide supplementary support to children who are failing or most at risk of failing to meet the district's core academic curriculum standards.
