Job summary

Liberty Science Center in Jersey City, NJ, is seeking a Part-time Performance Ambassador to bring science to life for guests, especially children aged 3-13. This temporary role involves rehearsing and performing in costume, and assisting frontline staff with guest care and safety.

Responsibilities include delivering scripted material, managing crowds, and providing excellent service. Availability Wed-Sun from September through January at the Jersey City campus is required; compensation is $18.50

Qualifications

• Theatrical, charismatic and energetic personality with a strong customer-service focus.
• Experience with performance or acting and comfort with public speaking.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, fast-paced environment and adapt to changing policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform scripted material in costume to engage diverse audiences.
• Provide high-quality customer service including ticketing assistance and knowledge of offerings.
• Manage large crowds and oversee safety of public areas.
• Be punctual for performances with props and set pieces ready.
