Overview

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Speech Language Pathologist with a valid CCC, CFY, or School certification is needed for a contract position serving K-12 students in Portsmouth, VA. This role involves providing speech and language therapy services across two schools throughout the upcoming school year.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for approximately 45 students.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and parents.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state guidelines.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student success.
Qualifications
  • Valid Speech Language Pathologist certification (CCC, CFY, or School credential).
  • Previous experience working in K-12 school settings is mandatory.
  • Ability to manage a caseload of around 45 students effectively while working at two different schools.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
