QUALIFICATIONS:

• Candidates for this position must be Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education certified as aChapter 74 Instructor or certifiable and must be familiar with the newly adopted DESE CVTE related curriculum frameworks.
• Five years of recent (within the last seven years), full-time employment experience directly related to information support services and networking.
• Knowledge of information technology with emphasis on hardware & software.
• Willingness to pursue additional certification to teach Cisco Networking Academy Information Technology Essentials 6.0.
• In addition to the CH 74 ISS/Networking licensure requirements: Preferred Industry rated credentials (or willingness to obtain) such as; Network +, Security +, CISCO, A+, Comp TIA.
• Teacher will be responsible to instruct students in grades 9-12 in an IT program.
• Additional content area licensure is encouraged Licensure requirements and validity are subject to change at the discretion of DESE An understanding of the concepts of institutional and structural racism, and bias, and their impact on underserved and underrepresented communities

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• As negotiated with Lynn School Committee and Lynn Teachers Union .
• 180 days per year
