Job summary

North Kansas City Schools is seeking a Warehouse, Substitute to support shipping and receiving in a district environment. The role involves packing orders, handling inventory, delivering supplies, and maintaining warehouse operations across multiple schools.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Pack orders for return to vendor or delivery to the schools.
• Pick and process central inventory supply requests for delivery to the schools.
• Stock inventory and note any shortages.
• Keep records and take complete inventory of warehouse twice a year.
• Assemble and deliver furniture.
• Unload delivery trucks and verify receipt of orders, note any discrepancies.
• Maintain warehouse equipment.
• Move equipment and supplies between schools or take to storage.
• Assign asset numbers to new capital outlay equipment and keep records on district owned equipment.
• Collect for auction, surplus equipment and supplies.
• Deliver or pickup mail, supplies and printing on a daily schedule to all instructional units.
• Take packages to the post office for mailing.
• Keep inventory of official district forms. Restock and deliver on as needed basis.
• Receive, store and inventory food commodities.
• Deliver food commodities to attendance centers and deliver prepared meals between buildings.
• Demonstrates effective human relations and communication skills.
• Adheres to good safety practices.
• Adheres to all district rules, regulations, and policies.
• Other duties as required or assigned.
