Job summary

Jonathan Alder Local School District is seeking a Substitute Van Driver who will be trained. This role supports safe student transportation and requires completing daily pre-trip inspections. The driver must wear a seat belt, follow Ohio transportation laws, supervise students on the van, and report incidents to the Transportation Coordinator.

Training provided; hours will vary with need and schedule. Candidate must pass a pre-employment drug screen and be prepared to adhere to district policies

Qualifications

• Must meet Ohio ODE Form T-8 criteria.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Cleans the van and coordinates repairs and service as needed.
• Completes mandated pre-trip prior to driving van each day.
• Maintains compliance with all Ohio laws, ODE and district policies and procedures related to drug/alcohol testing.
