Job summary

Educational Service Center of Central Ohio is seeking a full-time bus driver to ensure the safe and timely transportation of students and staff. The role requires a valid driver’s license, a clear criminal record, successful completion of van driver training, and the ability to cope with stressful traffic, weather conditions, and passenger distractions.

You will follow board policies, perform regular safety inspections, and maintain the vehicle to support reliable service and strong community

Qualifications

High school diploma required.
Valid driver’s license and a clear driving record.
Completion of van driver training as required by the center.
Ability to pass health, drug tests, and background checks.
Ability to cope with stressful traffic, weather, and passenger distractions.

Responsibilities

Operate the assigned vehicle in accordance with motor vehicle laws and keep supervisor informed of issues.
Maintain routes and time schedules; report deviations or hazards promptly.
Follow board policies and administrative guidelines; uphold professional standards.
Conduct regular vehicle safety inspections and report defects immediately.
Support safety, privacy, and confidentiality; promote positive school community relations.
