Job summary

Fremont Unified School District is seeking a Van Driver to support student transportation services. The role requires a California Class C license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and completion of the district’s van driving training program.

This position may require meeting the six-month goal to obtain an unrestricted Special Driving Certificate. Applicants should have three years of California Class C licensed driving experience and be prepared for the district’s screening and testing

Qualifications

• Two letters of recommendation.
• California Class C driver's license.
• Education: high school diploma-equivalent; completion of district van driving training.
• Three years of California Class C licensed driving experience.
• Open recruitment to create an eligibility list.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Type 2 school bus with an Automatic Transmission.
• Obtain an unrestricted Special Driving Certificate within six months of hire.
