Job summary

Rohrer Bus in Duncannon, PA is seeking a School Van Driver to transport students safely and on schedule, following all laws and district policies.

Responsibilities include route navigation, vehicle inspections, passenger management, loading/unloading, and prompt incident reporting. Requirements include a valid license with 3 years of driving, age 21+, background check and drug screening, and comfort with Samsara and Dayforce.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a minimum of 3 years of satisfactory driving history.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must pass a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• Medical: Ability to pass initial and routine physical examinations and drug/alcohol screening programs.
• Comfortable using or learning fleet and workforce technology systems such as Samsara (GPS/vehicle tracking) and Dayforce (scheduling/HR).

• Loading & Unloading: Assist students in boarding and exiting the vehicle safely, including securing wheelchairs or other mobility devices as required.
• Incident Reporting: Immediately report any delays, mechanical defects, or accidents/incidents to dispatch and management.
• Attend all required safety and training meetings. Conduct Emergency Evacuation Drills per company and district policies.
