Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of driving experience with a valid driver’s license required.
• Must hold a valid Virginia Driver’s License with the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Must successfully pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug testing.
• Ability to perform moderate lifting of 50 lbs, operate a wheelchair lift.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Is responsible for the safe transportation of students.
• Monitors students and other passengers during transit.
• Communicates with parents and school officials regarding student behavior.
• Assists children with disabilities in and out of the van.
